The above view shows the interior of the upper compartment of the Model VT-1 which houses the laptop computer used for system control and operation. A cigarette lighter-type socket is provided on the right side of the compartment to supply power to a laptop computer auto/air power adapter. The compartment is vented to remove heat generated by the laptop computer. Vents are located in both sides and large vent holes connect the upper and lower compartments. A thermostatically-controlled fan in the lower compartment provides positive ventilation when the temperature in the upper compartment exceeds 27°C (80°F). Extra space is provided in the laptop compartment for storage and to reduce heat buildup. A keyed lock is also provided for security. |
