SodarTools Transpond generates test signals that simulate a specified wind speed and wind direction at a specified height. These test signals can be used to assess the accuracy of the wind data reported by the Model VT-1. Transpond is run and certified on a notebook computer. An example of the Transpond screen is shown below.
To use Tranpond, the user first sets various options to correspond to the sodar configuration, and then Transpond is synchronized with the sodar. After the user selects the desired test point, Transpond displays the corresponding delay times, test frequencies and speeds for each component. |
