Temperature/Relative Humidity

A temperature and/or temperature/relative humidity option is offered with the Model VT-1 sodar system.  The temperature sensor consists of an R.M. Young Model 41342VC probe housed in an R.M. Young Model 41002 radiation shield.  A combination temperature/relative humidity sensor is also available, which consists of an R.M. Young Model 41372VC probe.   As shown in the graphic below, the Model 41342VC/41002 (or 41372VC/41002) can be mounted on a tripod or tower placed adjacent to the Model VT-1 sodar system.   A connector is provided on the side of the Model VT-1 antenna cabinet to provide a means of connecting the temperature/relative humidity sensors to the optional Data Acquisition Module, which is interfaced with the notebook computer associated with the Model VT-1.

When this option is installed, the instantaneous temperature/relative humidity data are displayed on the sodar computer screen and the averages are recorded in the sodar data record.
