The Data Acquisition Module option provides a means of collecting data from optional external sensors for wind, temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation and precipitation and integrating these sensors with the Model VT-1 sodar system. It consists of an IOtech Personal Daq Model 55 that is mounted in the lower compartment of the Model VT-1 electronics module (see photo below) and interfaced with the notebook computer associated with the Model VT-1 sodar system through the USB port. The Personal Daq Model 55 includes five differential analog input channels (or 10 single-ended analog input channels), two frequency/pulse count input channels, and eight digital I/O channels.
