The above photo shows a view of the Model VT-1 phased array antenna (horn-side view) with the electronics module detached from the antenna enclosure. The phased-array antenna consists of 48 piezo tweeters. A stainless steel stand is provided to allow the electronics module to stand upright when it is detached from the remainder of the unit. This arrangement facilitates testing of the array and replacement of array elements.
